MacBook Keyboard & Trackpad Repair

If you are having issues with the keyboard, trackpad or in some cases both (including the power button) this may actually be an issue with USB, before jumping in with a replacement part that may not actually fix the issue, check that all USB ports are working correctly first and that it isn’t a problem with USB.

That being said, keyboards and trackpads can fail,  keyboards especially so being the first casualty of liquid damage.

BCDM will have a technician correctly diagnose the issue with your machine and then perform the correct repair. due to the design, keyboard replacement is not a cheap option, anywhere in the £189.99 – £279.99 range depending on the model, trackpads start at £149.99 through £279.99 again depending on the model and current cost of spare parts.

Repair Pricing

Repairs are normally completed on a no fix, no fee basis* example prices are below.

  1. Basic Repairs (replace internal cable etc.) £79.99 + Part(s)
  2. Component Level Logic Board Repair £279.99
  3. MacBook replacement screen/LCD £175 – £399.99

* No fix, no fee is only available where no previous repair attempts have been undertaken. Where prior repairs have been attempted that lead to additional work, additional fees may apply. This is particularly important with liquid damaged devices that have had the logic board cleaned. Cleaning may remove evidence of where damage has occurred, potentially delaying the repair or leading to damage not being identified which may cause premature failure. If you think that this may apply to your device, please contact us before sending to discuss.
